Leadership Journal
Hello,
As the end of the semester around the corner I need to write a Leadership Journal as part of my leadership class that covers most of the things we studied in class. Below are 10 questions to give you more idea about what is need to be included in the paper. I answered most of the question briefly based on my point of view to give you a clear direction about what the long answers should be. The paper must not be questions and answers format. Also, I add four topics to mention on the paper
Q1-How do you define leadership? What has influenced your thoughts?
“the process of influencing an organized group toward accomplishing its goals” We need to paraphrase it
Q2-What key leadership experiences have informed your thinking?
Leading a study group
Q3-Do you believe that leadership is positional? Why or why not?
Yes, most leaders surveyed (94 percent) rated themselves as being moderately to extremely powerful at work. There is a notable correlation between leaders’ level in the organization and how powerful they believe themselves to be at work.
Q4-When do you share your vision as a leader?
In teamwork with classmates
Q5-Under what circumstances are you willing to take risks?
When taking risk is going to bring great rewards
Q6-What personal principles are you not willing to violate?
Q7-How do you make decisions? Are they based on evidence or intuition?
It is mixed between both but looking for evidence is always first
Q8-What decisions do you make individually and what do you make collectively?
Any decision that only affect me personally would be individually and any decision influence the whole team would be collectively
Q9-How do your personal beliefs (e.g. gender, ethnicity, religion, etc.) affect your leadership style?
Religion is a lifestyle for me so it will influence my leadership style directly
Q10-How do you respond when your leadership beliefs or practices are challenged?
Trying to rethink my leadership beliefs or practices and look for improving myself continuously
