    • The company has received reports of children whose skin was irritated by the tagless labels.
    • The complaints apply only to clothes from the fall 2017 line.
    • On the 2017 line the label’s text is printed on a solid white material.
    • On the 2018 line the text is printed directly on the fabric.
    • Of the 100 million garments sold in 2017, the company has received 400 complaints of rashes.
    • An analysis by independent doctors and other specialists found that the labels contain no known skin irritants or abrasive chemicals.
    • The above people concluded that the problem affects only children with hyper sensitive skin.
    • Carter consulted with the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission.
    • Since the problem is limited, Carter will not recall the garments.
    • A Carter’s customers may return of any unsatisfactory garment for a full refund.
