It’s called Project Loon, which is short for “balloon”. The idea is to launch balloons in the stratosphere, to provide free Wi-Fi signals to remote areas. It’s estimated that two thirds of the world’s population do not have Internet access, and so Project Loon is trying to mitigating this grave injustice.
