2.Review the two assigned readings on arrest in misdemeanor domestic violence situations. This is a very important example of research and how it can impact public policy. It is also a good demonstration of how to be a good “consumer” of research and why asking the right question is very important! After reading, discuss with your classmates the importance of doing “good criminal justice/security management research”. How did research influence public policy in terms of how the police respond to domestic violence calls?
