Question: Should plants and animals that we eat be genetically modified? What are the potential consequences of this practice?

Try to think about this issue in terms of what we learned in this week’s lecture. Evolution occurs through the forces of natural selection, genetic drift, gene flow, and mutation. What does genetic modification do to this process?

Try also to think like an anthropologist. What are the social implications of such a practice? Is it overall good or bad for humans?
