1. Explain the difference between Bentham and Mill regarding types of pleasures. Start by explaining the greatest happiness principle and principle of utility, then what the hedonistic calculus is, then how Bentham and Mill value competing pleasures differently from each other (like the example in class of $20 – should it go to the transformers movie that makes someone really happy, or the museum which leads to a higher quality of pleasure?)
