1. Socrates is an upstanding citizen in Athens but in the Crito Socrates is wrongly arrested and jailed. He is about to be executed when his friend, Crito, comes in and wants to break him out. Do you think Socrates should escape punishment? or does he have an obligation to the state, as a citizen, to accept his punishment? What do you think Socrates should do?
