For this assignment, you will investigate the cultural ideologies of race and power. Reflect on the influence the ideologies have on cultural groups.
Write a 1000,word paper about the cultural ideologies of race and power. Identify the influence these ideologies have on cultural groups and include the following:
- Describe what social class hierarchies exist in the cultural group with which you identify.
- Determine the ethical issues with the social class hierarchy system of your cultural group.
- Provide two examples of how the ideology of power currently affects your cultural group.
- Describe the concept of framing within cultural groups (refer to Ch. 6 of your textbook). How is framing used in your cultural group? How is framing a direct reflection of power?
- To which social class hierarchy do you think you belong? What framing concepts led you to this classification?
