Discuss the following questions from the concepts covered in Chapters 12, 13, 14 of our course text and the additional readings identified in the Weekly Activities.
Provide an authentic graduate-level response to each of the following:
- Find an article that explains/gives an example of an innovative program or an organization that promotes internal employee relations and give a brief description of the program and why you think the program is or will be successful. Explain as an employee why you feel it would be beneficial in your own organization.
- Find an article that explains/gives an example of an innovative employee wellness program. Think outside of the box – not health insurance or OSHA, but innovative programs that address wellness related to mental, physical, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, work/life balance etc. Give a brief description of the program and why you think that program is or will be successful. Explain as an employee why you feel it would be beneficial in your own organization.
- Find an article that explains/gives an example of an organization using the evolution of global business to transform their business. Explain how they have used this strategy to improve their business or how they found the strategy unsuccessful. What do you find most intriguing or motivating about this strategy as an employee?
- Find an article that explains/gives an example of strategies to either (1) manage employees who are located globally (2) global employee recruitment (3) employee and labor relations practices or (4) global compensation practices. Give a brief description of the strategy and why you think that the program is or will be successful. How do you think this strategy could be applied to other organizations and be successful?
