Needs assessment generally refers to the process of systematically investigating an organization so as to determine its current knowledge, abilities and also the approaches which can be used to focus on the needs assessment process. Needs assessment focuses on examining the current things and how they should be so as to fill a gap in services, for example, it can focus on how to establish training so as to address a specific need.
