Research and Analyze: This weeks learning activity is an open forum related to the topic of Demand, Supply and Market Equilibrium. The Market being considered here is the Market for Organs e.g. Kidneys. You have to chose one of the following two statements and explain in about half a page or two paragraphs why you agree with it. Make use of data to strengthen your argument. There is no “correct” answer. (10 points)

Statement 1: I agree that there should be a free market for organs like kidneys, i.e. it should not be illegal to buy and sell organs, so that the shortage of organs can be eliminated.

OR

Statement 2: I disagree that there should be a free market for organs like kidney, as it will lead to the exploitation of the poor.
