  • Explain the role of the Human Resource Department.
  • Research employment laws. Select one employment law, and discuss how it is applied in a lodging operation. Provide examples.
  • Summarize the role of the General Manager (GM).
  • In your summary of the General Manager’s role, discuss the importance of effective communication, and fostering a positive culture for all employees. List job specification, the skills, knowledge, attributes, and experience required for the GM position. Use examples to support your answers.
