Research a multinational enterprise. For example:
· General Motors entering into the market in China by building a major research and development center in China
Analyze its global strategy decisions.
Use the CAGE framework to analyze one country the MNE chose to enter. On the basis of your CAGE assessment, do you think the MNE is choosing or adjusting their strategy appropriately in light of the CAGE dimensions? Explain how integration responsiveness continuum frames the choices to respond to the differing CAGE dimensions of two countries.
Use the Porter Diamond Model to analyze that same country. Based on that model, how would you assess that country’s overall competitiveness in that industry?
