Periodical Record Of Activities In Developmental Psychology Theories

In this unit, you will start a journal reflecting on your experience in the undergraduate psychology program. This journal provides an opportunity for you to explore your thoughts and to reflect on or formulate responses to your assignments and discussions. Do not worry about grammar, style, punctuation, or adherence to APA guidelines. The quality of your ideas and evidence of critical thought are what is important in the journal. Your thoughts should be well developed, and the journal entries should be a minimum of four fully developed paragraphs. (A paragraph is 5–8 full sentences).

Your journal is a private communication between you and the instructor. You are encouraged to adopt a level of self-disclosure that is comfortable and should not feel pressured to exceed these boundaries. Your instructor will provide feedback for your first journal entry and as necessary for other entries.

In your first journal entry, provide additional clarification on what you learned in your undergraduate studies:

  • Describe what meaning studying psychology has held for you, now that you are approaching the end of your degree in psychology.
  • Discuss how studying psychology has influenced the direction of your personal life and career goals.
  • Refer to any specific theories, concepts from theories, research, or interactions with others, such as instructors or peers, or other experiences as you reflect on the influence of studying psychology on your personal view and professional life.
