File Management System

The following are objectives for a file management system. I need to list the importances of each objective and the tradeoffs for each one, I suppose that mean in terms of security or other issues. I am having trouble with the last three objectives listed.

To optimize performance, both from the system point of view in terms of overall throughput and from the user’s point of view in terms of response time.

· Importance- A benefit of a file management systems is to be able to access

files quickly.

To provide I/O support for a variety of storage device types
