Chapter 15 page 434- 443
Concept Presentations (50 points total): The intention of this presentation is for you to continue to develop your presentation skills and ability to communicate ideas and information to others in a way that helps them learn and grow. Organizational behavior is directly impacted by communication and continuous learning of individuals to enhance performance. Having a shared understanding of concepts facilitates the ability of individuals to work together to achieve goals. Students will select one chapter to make the presentation of ONLY2 – 3 sections from that chapter. You will create an 8 – 10 minute presentation.
Concept Presentation guidelines (also refer to grading rubric for the presentation):
- Your presentation will be 8 – 10 minutes total (you will NOT be presenting an entire chapter, only 2-3 specific sections of the chapter you selected)
- 5 – 7 PPT slides need to be used (these PPTs need to be sent to me by NOON of the day you are presenting so I can post them on BB for everyone to see). Review the PPT sample on Blackboard as a guide to developing your presentation.
You should have 2 – 3 concept slides and 3 – 4 RECOMMENDATION SLIDES
- YOU CANNOT USE NOTE CARDS OR READ YOUR PPT SLIDES WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR PRESENTATION
- Once you select your chapter to present, you cannot that chapter as part of your Final Written Integration Paper that is due on the last week of our class.
- The scoring rubric for the BUS 551 CONCEPT PRESENTATION RUBRIC will be used to provide you with feedback (you will receive written feedback the week after your presentation).
Here is a sample PPT from a student in BUS 551 in a previous term.
