Ethical Decision Making
By mid-week, select a problem that you’ve face in your work context which involved an ethical decision.
Write the ethical problem as a vignette, changing the names of the individual or referring to them as “the boss” or “the worker,” etc.
Include in your vignette the following:
- Any of the steps (whether complete or incomplete) of the four ethical decision making models: Kidder’s ethical check points; the SAD formula; Nash’s 12 questions or the case study method you may have consciously or unconsciously applied while working through the ethical problem.
- Any of the ethical blind spots you may recognize in yourself (as listed in chapter 6)
- Summary in two or three sentences a plan to help you improve your moral reasoning should you encounter ethical dilemmas in the future.
Harvard referencing system must be used for any reference utilized.
