  • Find at least four cases and two other related statutes that are linked to the above citations in Lexis.com.

  • Type the citations of each of the sources, both in the body of the assignment but also on a separate reference page. State whether each source you cite is a case or statute.

  • In the body of the assignment, describe the topic of law covered by each of the sources you cite, in one or two sentences, for each source, in your own words.

  • Show use of Lexis.com by including at least one screen shot from Lexis.com of one of the sources you found.

  • Your paper should be 1 – 3 pages in length.

Note: To do a screen shot, press Print scr or prt scr on your keyboard. Then, go to your MS Word document, click on a place to put your screen shot and press CTRL and V simultaneously.

Please make sure to do this assignment correctly and make sure to follow each question above! Especially with the citations! Below goes into detail on what the instructor wants and how she wants it to look!

You will look up each of these citations using Lexis.com and review the legal topic area and other information about them through Lexis. In particular, you will look for other cases and statutes cited and related to these two sources that are identifiable through Lexis.

Your submission should include the following, either in a bulleted list (with complete sentences) or a narrative:

Identification of four cases AND two statutes that are linked to the two citations above. You will include proper legal citation of these legal sources in your discussion

A description of the topic of law covered by each of the sources you have cited—the original two, and the additional six your found in your research. Each description should be in your own words, in one or two sentences. (Please keep in mind that I am more interested in you demonstrating your understanding of the key legal issues at hand than seeing a cut-and-pasted passage you found about the case or statute on the Internet.)

Your submission should include a screen shot from Lexis.com of at least one of the sources cited in your submission. Your screen shot should take up no more than one half of a pages. for 1-3 pages.

I am expecting the portion that discusses the four cases and two statutes to be at least one page, not including the space used for the screen shots.
