Sorry, Inc. manages food concessions at local event venues. As many as five people work each concession area with two cash registers at each location. There are too many cash drawers to reconcile, but the bookkeeper does try to match the receipts for the evening with the cash register tapes if employees bring the tapes. Since the sports events and concerts can last late into the evening, the bookkeeper often cannot deposit the money in the bank until the following morning (or sometimes a few mornings later if the event occurs on a weekend). Sorry pays the sports venue a percentage of the gross receipts. The sports venues often request cash payments, so the bookkeeper usually just pays from the cash receipts from the event.

Sorry, Inc. also outsources the parking concession. Their agreement is to pay Sorry a percentage of the gross receipts. These payments are usually made by check and are sent to the attention of the bookkeeper. The bookkeeper reconciles the payments to the reported receipts, and then deposits the checks.

1. Compute the total cost of making the personal device and the deluxe device using the single driver approach with labor hours being the cost driver.  Also, compute the unit cost of each device.

3. What are the three environmental factors that normally exist where a company is using ABC costing?

Five Leader Decision Styles

There are five levels of subordinate participation in decision making ranging from highly autocratic (leader decides alone) to highly democratic (leader delegates to group):

Address the following in your paper:

• How does a leader decide which of the five decision styles to use?
• Explain the five styles and give an example of when it would be best for the leader to use each style.

• Use at least three references from outside the course material, one reference must be from EBSCOhost. Text book, lectures, and other materials in the course may be used, but are not counted toward the three reference requirement.
• Cite all reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) in the paper and list on a reference page in APA style.

References must come from sources such as, scholarly journals found in EBSCOhost, CNN, online newspapers such as, The Wall Street Journal, government websites, etc. Sources such as, Wikis, Yahoo Answers, eHow, blogs, etc. are not acceptable for academic writing.
