Developing an Ethical Culture

To complete this assignment, refer to Chapters 7 and 8 of the textbook, the Yukl article, and scholarly resources from the Ashford University Library.  For this assignment, you will create an 8- to 10-slide PowerPoint presentation for new employees that explains the principles of ethical leadership and how this leadership style promotes an ethical culture within an organization.

This assignment also requires you to create a Notes page that will accompany your presentation. In your presentation

·  Provide a definition of what an ethical leader is.

·  Give an example of an ethical leader and describe why this person fits the definition.

·  Describe ethical culture in your organization (or any other organization). 

·  Describe how to create conversations about ethics.

The presentation

Ethical Decision Making

After reading about Bill Daniels and the story about the insurance company in Chapter 5 of Gonzalez-Padron (2015), answer the following questions in essay form:

• Which ethical tradition best describes Bill’s decision to pay the client from his own funds?
• Did he approach the decision using a rules-based, virtue or relationship-based, or outcome-based approach, or a combination of approaches?
• Bill credits sports coaches for progression to higher stages of moral development. What other factors could motivate someone to develop higher levels of moral reasoning?
• Can you think of a person who demonstrates principle-based ethics? How do this person’s actions reflect a highly developed moral reasoning?

Incorporate key words and phrases from Chapter 5 of the text and at least two additional sources into your responses. Use your own words to define the key words and phrases you incorporate. Be sure to cite all sources in the body of your paper and on the references page.

Focus of the Research Paper



This final research paper must demonstrate the understanding of new learning in the field of supply chain management and how the supply chain supports the organization’s business strategy.  This is an assignment with a length of 10 to 15 pages (not including title and reference pages) that should integrate the reading, multi-media and class discussion boards.  You are required to utilize research from the classroom text, as well as 6 to 8 additional sources from the internet or online library to support your views.  At least two of these sources must be from ProQuest.

Consider the validity of your resources carefully before using them in academic papers.  It is recommended to use examples from your professional experience where possible, or build from your learning in the discussion boards.  

In your 10- to 15-page research paper, you will describe both the business strategy and supply chain strategy for your organization, or for a business unit of your organization, or for some other organization for which you have worked in the past and still retain contacts.  Your research paper will describe how this organization aligns its business strategy with its supply chain strategy (use the definition from page 26 of the text to guide you) if they have a formal one. You are to expand this description and supplement it with a critical analysis and suggested improvement steps/actions based on what you have learned in this course.

• What opportunities exist to improve supply chain activities through better alignment of logistics and the company’s strategic plan?

Planning Health Promotion Programs: Needs Assessment

For this component of your SLP, based on the public health topic you selected in Module 1 SLP, please discuss the following:

1. What behavioral factors influence the problem? Which of these behaviors are more important and which are more amenable to health promotion/ intervention? Papers not meeting this requirement by the end of the session will receive a score of 0 (grade of F). Papers with a lower SI score may be returned for revisions. For example, if one paragraph accounting for only 10% of a paper is cut and pasted, the paper could be returned for revision, despite the low SI score. Please use the report and your SI score as a guide to improve the originality of your work.
