Imagine you have been asked to draft guidelines for psychological services for the elderly. Develop two or three guidelines that you would consider important to include. Provide a rationale for each of your recommendations. “Services” is defined very broadly here, so select services consistent with your degree specialization program. Therapy and psychological assessment, program or other consultation, educational and training services, health psychology or addictions interventions, and so on, are all reasonable and possible here.
Then, take information you have learned about one of the racial or ethnic groups discussed in this course, and discuss how the study of elder status in this culture might enhance psychological service guidelines for all elders. Keep your discussion specific to a cultural group of your choosing.
