For this assignment, you will prepare and analysis of the evolution of marketing theory. Be sure to address the following in your analysis:

  • Choose two marketing theories and discuss their origins.
  • Compare and contrast the two theories in addressing an organization’s marketing needs.
  • Explain how these theories have evolved from the time they originated until present time
  • Analyze the role that technology has played in the evolution of these marketing theories (including social media marketing).
  • Explain how marketer respond to their knowledge of consumer behavior in the evolution of these marketing theories
  • Determine which marketing strategy you would be most likely to apply in the course of your work. Explain why this strategy resonates with you.
  • In addition to your analysis of the two marketing theories, select one and use it to create a brief social media marketing proposal for a new product or service launch that is based on your selected organization. Your proposal should be a half page to 1 page in length.

In addition to the minimum specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.

Imagine you have a friend who runs a small business and this person is interested in taking advantage of information technology and management information systems to take the business to the next level. Your friend has come to you to get some information to consider in the decision to pursue IT and MIS enhancements.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND SPCIFICATIONS SUMMARY

  1. State the way that the team will work (frequency of meetings and its decision-making rules and/or processes.)  Identify, develop, and agree on team- and project-leadership roles within the group.  Include the process that the team will enforce for “firing” any team member who does not contribute his/her fair share of the work.  Students electing to work individually should describe how the work will be conducted using the same parameters.
  1. Describe the project purpose(s) and the expected deliverables.  Note: Your response here is a more detailed version of #2 above.

Scenario: You are the CEO of MegaGlobe Business Solutions, a financial consulting corporation based in Chicago that has just recently opened new offices in São Paulo, Brazil and Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. As part of this transition, your employees will now be working collaboratively with employees at these locations to provide financial consulting services in these new markets. The final paper will be at least 10 pages with 10 scholarly articles. This does not include the title page, abstract or the reference page. This week you will submit your final paper in APA format and writing.
 

Instructions

Each week you have assembled a different part of your research paper. Please make sure that you read the comments and corrections and institute them into your final paper as needed.

DETAILS:

1. You must have 10 scholarly articles. Scholarly articles are peer reviewed and can be found via the APUS Library. You do not submit the annotated bibliography as part of the final paper. You do need to use properly formatted references for the reference page.

2. Follow the detailed outline that you submitted. Your detailed outline is to help you write the paper and to ensure all references are used. 

3. Make sure that your abstract is on a separate page immediately following the title page. The heading is Abstract not the title of the paper. Remember to update the abstract for any input from your instructor.
 

4. Utilize the APA Helps as necessary in the Resources area to help you present your research paper in APA format, which means that you need to write a Title Page, Abstract Page and References Page separate from the body of the text of the paper. Avoid unsupported statements whenever possible. In many cases, you will write a paragraph of text and insert a citation only once. When you use a direct quote, include the page number of the source, too. Some may ask why APA is so important. APA is the mode of communication of the written word in the business research field. It is the due diligence of graduate management students to excel at APA.
